I owned my own cleaning business for 7 years. I had several people working for me, and cleaned for over 40 different customers. It was a profitable business that I loved to do. That was the key, “I loved my work”. I don’t think a lot of people can say that about their work, but if they can it makes going to work alot easier.
I learned a lot of different ideas for cleaning tips that I used and that also helped to make it successful. Running a business was fun for me, I think I have always been an entrepreneur at heart.
One of the cleaning ideas that I learned I still use in my home today. People do not have to spend a lot of money on cleaning products at the store. There are alot of products that can help make homemade solutions and cut the soap scum off of bathroom walls just as well.
I did not believe it until I tried it. It worked! Not alot of scrubbing either. That solution was vinegar. Straight vinegar left to sit on soap scum for about 10 min. helps to get rid of it.
One of the main things that I had to watch when cleaning for other people were streaky mirrors. They did not like them, and I found them difficult to avoid. One day a lady provided me with a simple solution. I used 2 parts vinegar to a 1/2 bottle of water, and instead of using a paper towel, I used a rag for mirrors only. It had to be washed separately, but it worked. I cut out several strips of a towel that I bought at the store and put them in a baggy. At the end of the day, I would put them in the sink and wash them out. It is the chemicals in the paper towels that were causing streaks. I also figured out that this was saving me money on paper towels.
If you have any mirror cleaning solutions please send them to my comments.
Cheers.
