Ground turkey tacos, turkey burgers, turkey chili, and turkey meatloaf is what is for dinner at our home lately! It definitely switches it up from using beef all of the time and is super yummy! I was talking to my Mom about whipping up some new menu items for the twins, feeling bored feeding them the same things over and over.
She suggested mini meatballs and the light bulb went off. Turkeyballs! I am 100% sure there are a gazillion recipes online, but I just tweaked my normal recipe (which I learned from my Mom) to make it a little more toddler friendly. These were super easy to make and store really well in the fridge or freezer.
Ingredients:
11/4 lb. ground turkey
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
1 cup old fashioned oats
garlic salt
pepper
basil
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix together all ingredients.
Roll into small balls and place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper or foil. Bake for 8-10 minutes
*Make sure not to over mix or the meat will become tough.
Super simple and delicious. This batch made 40+ mini meatballs. I used some of the remaining meat to make a few larger meatballs for Kevin and I.

I’ve actually been using a lot more turkey to replace my ground beef recipes– can’t wait to try this one! and I like the idea of parmesan, too ๐

Mini anything makes toddlers so happy! Mini meatballs must make your girls so happy at meal time and freeze well for meals on busy days. ๐
I never use ground beef. First I switched to ground turkey but later found that we like ground chicken more. Any recipe that works for ground beef, also works for ground poultry.

Oh this looks upper easy – and just as I was about to ask what I could use instead of oats you said breadcrumbs! Adding this to my male plan for next week as I don’t have ground turkey in the house.
Oh and I have twins too – mine are nearly 19 months old.
